Exclamation FS: CM FX400...new, correct version, free shipping

Hey guys, I don't really need a clutch right now and would rather have the cash to knock down the balance of buying the clutch in the first place on my credit card.

I'm asking $505 shipped...this is the 6 puck with everything included in the kit, brand new.

Isn't the FX400 the four puck design.. Anyway, i'm interested. I'm just trying to decide if i should get the dealership to try and replace it or if i should just go out on my own and buy this and do it myself.

Nevermind the Four puck comment, i didn't see it had two options. Leaning towards this one even more now.

Well honestly, if the car is under warranty and the dealership will fix it and are cool about stuff, then I don't blame you if you choose to go that route because hell...its free for right now.

Go for it bro. Beats the heck out of the stock clutch.

P.S. I know.....easier said than done.

Is there a way you can prove that this is the 3rd version? Why didn't you decide to add the vette slave cylinder and this clutch?? I know there was some problems with the CM clutches but it sounded like they got them figured out maybe.

Trust me, this is the third version. If you would like, when I get home from work in about 3 hours I would be more than greatful to take a picture of the back of the pressure plate to verify it says "Canada." That is how you can tell if it is the correct one. I just got it back last actually.

I decided not to install it and do the whole vette slave cylinder for a couple reasons:

1) Need the cash more, I upgraded my fiance's engagment ring the other month and the first bill is due at the beginning of August...helloooooo another $155 a month for the next year and a half (advice...don't screw yourself into debt )

2) Many people on here aren't having troubles with the new FX400 that they got, especially the Cobalt guys. Dan, djt81185, still has issues in his RL, but only on the testing of giving the car gas with the clutch down and in first and moving. I gave up the idea of the vette master cylinder unless it was REALLY going to be needed. Get someone good to do the install and you should be fine. Dan is actually the only guy I know still messing with it, I think his 1-2 shift has become better though, but in these cars, really going past 5800rpm I think is overkill with how strong second is the whole way through...
