FS: Kenwood radio, plug and play, everything included
Hey guys.
I bought this radio about 4 or 5 months ago, mainly for the aux input. At the time, i had a Zune, and a generic aux was the only way to use it. However, I didn't really use it for that much at all, and I just bought a morotcycle. So basically, if someone wants it, cool. If not, that's fine too. But it's up for grabs. It's a complete, plug and play package. It's been in my car ever since I got it. It works great. The only thing you may want to get it an adaptor for the steering wheel controls. I didn't... Anyway, here's the info.
Includes:
+ Kenwood KDCMP2035 deck.
+ Scoche dash kit for Cobalt/G5.
+ Wiring harness, pre-wired. You could re-wire if you want, but it works just fine as-is.
+ Instructions from Crutchfield for deck installation.
+ Monster cable for aux. (I-Pod/other MP3 -> deck)
+ Original packaging for Kenwood deck.
+ Kenwood remote. Used once. haha.
+ Anything else I stumble across.
The deck is (I think) like $120 new. Plus the dash kit, harness, cable, etc. I'm starting this at $100 plus shipping. Or $100 picked up. however it works out to be. I wouldn't imagine shipping to be any more than like 10 bucks to anywhere that they sell Cobalts. haha. And for a basic shipping estimate, my info is Imperial, PA (Pittsburgh, PA) 15126.
Please post up or PM if interested at all!!!

Everything actually worked very well. The only thing that doesn't work is the steering wheel controls. I was very nervous when I installed this because every shop will tell you you need some 100 dollar harness. haha But you don't. To install it (at least on a Cobalt), you just remove the trim pieces on the dash, then unbolt the factory radio, plug in the harness adaptor, screw the new one in, and re-install the factory plastics. Included are instructions supplied by Crutchfield. I jut followed those upon installation...

I was thinking I would, but nope, it still works fully. I asked around, alot, on the forum and everyone seems to say the same thing. I'm sure they just tell you it doesn't so you think you have to go buy some 80 dollar adaptor. haha
well i got the deck in today, i installed it, well physically installed it, by physically i mean i got it in, now i connected all that i could, the antenna, the adapter, but that long red wire...????, where does it go? b/c like i said i got it in and it still wont turn on,
ps-i left the red wire alone for now, i have the deck in, but the red one is just thrown in there, wheres it go
