To clarify:

The phenolic material used in CA's TB spacer does NOT transfer heat well at all. IT IS A THERMAL BARRIER, and thus, it reduces transfer of heat from the components it separates. Phenolic is similiar to fiberglass and carbon fiber, in that is uses a resin to suspend particles of another material. In this case, it is actually a form of wood (which is one of the best insulators in the world). Because of the type of resin used, it is very hard to machine phenolic. You are far better off to order any phenolic parts with all machining you'll want done to them ahead of time.

Okay... well... thanks for clearing that up... I guess... So what do you do if you get the phenolic TB spacer and the holes don't line up? Also, why is it important to seperate the TB from SC snout (other than its a great place to put a meth nozzle)?

Actually, yes. I spoke to my machinest yesterday. One at a time is $105. If I can get 5 people together, they go down to $85. If I can get 10 people, they go down to $80 a piece. He said the reason is because the CNC set up is what takes all the time. 1 tap or 2 costs the same. I am doing the polishing myself and am not charging any extra to do it. The problem is that I have been hearing from others about how much it costs to be a supporting vendor and I am not charging nearly enough to break even on that unless I sell like 50 of them or something. lol I am still waiting to hear back from jonel. Maybe we can work something out or something...

I am just generalizing about the material so there isn't confusion when it is used in other areas. I'm really not concerned about what you use between your blower and throttlebody as most people have some sort of thermal barrier between the throttle body and intake piping anyway.

Regardless, after the blower is a better place for meth nozzles (and port injection n2o).

Gotcha. Honestly, there is debate as to where the best place to spray meth is. I personally like the fact that spraying before the SC cools the SC along with the intake charge, which gets the air cool before it gets to the SC. That's why I did mine there. Anyway, this is obviousely for those who have decided, for whatever reason, to spray before the SC.
