and i would disagree that they are slow... if they are slow.. so is ss/sc because ss/sc wouldn't be much faster

 

SS/SC is faster than a GTP, they're heavy cars. The '06 GTP is a 3.9L pushrod V6, makes about 240 hp, and the '07 GTP is a 3.6L DOHC, makes about 252 hp. And neither motor is underrated. Not exactly staggering numbers. The coupes are pretty though.

 

yep exactly what i said... but they are very close performance wise to ss/sc in a straight line.. so much so that it would probably be a drivers race..

 

Yeah... the thing is there aren't many manual G6's out there... the F40 only came on the '06 GTP, but most are the 4 speed auto. And all '07 GTP are auto so... I think I read that the F40 3.9 is slightly quicker in most situations than the DOHC 3.6.

Having said that, you don't buy a G6 for speed though it would be nice if the '08 had a manual and a few more horses to compete with Accord and Altima coupes. Nor do you buy one for interior room in the coupe, cause headroom is no better than a G5/Cobalt.

Edit: just checked... '06 G6 GTP M6 is capable of 14.4 stock. So yeah... driver's race with a stock SC.
