Lnf pcm wanted
you would need to get any replacement PCM reflashed for your car;
the PCM (aka: ECM) neess to communicate with the BCM, and if there is any inconsisancy, then the car will not start.
You're probably going to need access to a Tech2 ~ maybe booking in at a dealer, to unlock things...
(but they might also put hte stock/updated tune for your car while they're at it.)
Unfortunately this is not an OBD1 or early OBD2 car which would permit swapping ECM's without hassel...

Okay so just to confirm. To remove my Trifecta tune off my PCM
i need to go to the dealer
have them flash in a file from another year SS
flash back in my stock file
then do the clutch relearn procedure

1) forget what "Tune" is on the ECM;
2) Unless the ECM is programmed with your car's VIN, it's going to need to be unlocked.
3) To unlock an ECM (to the best of my knowledge) you need access to a Tech2
Why are you talking about a clutch relearn?
I searched and the thread that I found that soulution ended with a cluth relearn.
Basically the guy had taken it to the dealer and had issues getting hptuners to read.
So he finally had them flash a 2010 SS file on his 2008 SS. Then after that flash his stock file on.
Then Hptuners would read but the car wouldnt start.
Then he posted later it was a clutch relearn he had to do to get it to start. He even stated Vince helped him find a solution to this.
I have a friend that works at GM, so access to a Tech 2 is not a problem.
I also have HPtuners but I just want to confirm the above process before I under go it since the Cobalt is currenlty my daily driver to get to work and back.

Well I have yet to attempt it. I just wanted to see if more than one person have tried this process.
Im going to remove my K&N SRI today unitl I get a downpipe. I refuse to update my trifecta tune. I want a HPtuned PCM.....so i can use my hptuners.
So back to the stock filter box with k&n drop in filter for now. Car runs great no doubt but i did still log KR.
Could be LNF false KR. I havent had a chance to see how my knock sensors are clocked.
