it was installed on the blower i bought when i got it but i didnt wanna run that small of a pulley so i took it off and and put on a 2.8 so its been on the blower just not my car
just get a gm stage 2 in classifieds for cheap.
to run a 2.6 you need al least 60lb/hr injectors , front mount heat exchanger, dual pass end plate, extensive exhaust mods like header downpipe, and a tune of course.
Would the gm stage 2 tune be enough? Or would I have to look into trifecta, etc

Like creepySS said, you WILL need 60# injectors, highly recommended you have a full exhaust, and some sort of cooling mod(s) and a tune to safely run a 2.6.
Even then, Eaton doesnt recommend going below a 2.8; 2.7, 2.6 and 2.5 are out of the blowers efficiency range and essentially overspin the blower; reduces the life of the M62, alot of people just say **** it and do it anyway though
You will pick up some power and a good amount of low/mid range torque with a 2.6 though lol
