The problem you will probably run into will be that the the shifter asm (lever) could bottom out on the shifter base if you do not replace the transmission select lever arm as well. Also, getting into reverse (with the lift ring) may pose a problem as well. Both the crosscar and fore-aft travel has been revised (shortened) from the supercharged car to the turbocharged car.

Yes, the Cobalt SS-TC cross-car (non-weighted arm) is much shorter in length than the SS-SC car.
