Stock 2007 MP3 6-disc Head Unit

Hi folks. For sale is the factory radio from my 07 SS/SC. This is the 6-disc MP3 stereo installed for extra $$ on some cobalts. Has XM capability (factory antenna only), AUX input, etc. Ended up upgrading to navigation and this has just been sitting in my room collecting dust.

So I know it only fits 07's and newer cars but do your own research to see if there are additional steps involved for installation.

It was removed in working condition and looks great. There is, however, a really small crack on the screen (see pic) which I never knew where the hell it came from as I noticed it when it was still on the car. I wouldn't consider being a big deal and can't really notice it once the radio is installed.

Not really sure on how much these are going for so I'm just gonna say $60 + shipping? Anyway, throw me your best offers. Item is boxed and ready to ship.

Simply put, The whole connections are different and are not compatible with older models.

I have a stock 08 Cobalt SS with a XM and single disc setup, is this a direct swap?, and will I need to get a GM dealer to unlock it?

Thanks
Scott

This should be a direct swap, XM is already built into the stereo. And about the unlocking thing, I didn't know about this but, from the little research I did, you do need to have the dealer unlock it or have someone with a Tech II unlock it. You can ask your dealers around town how much they charge but shouldn't be more than 1 hr labor.
