and yes just a suggestion, but hey u say theres 'no slop' anymore right? i'm def. gonna try that lnf mount with my ottp stg 1 trans mount
Haha, it's all good man

Yep, no slop with my setup.

I used to have an Ingalls, and while it did tighten up the feel of the car (over stock), it doesnt even compare to the gmpp mounts alone, or a Powell s1 rotated mount and rear gmpp mount combo.

^^cool lemme know how the install goes on the rear mount.... i'm not sure how to do that, gonna have to jack up the whip and take a looksie, staged07ss, got any pointers on that?

i think u just gotta jack up the car and support the engine like the front tranny mount but idk what else would/could be involved

Follow the GMPP instructions (trans mount installation section only) for their wheel hop kit....

That's what I did

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/pdfs/19211782.pdf

Also, remember to support the engine like you did while installing the rotated mount. Along with, loosening the 3 upper engine mount bolts & tightening back to spec (37 ft-lbs).

Well, yes & no....

My car was touchy when it was stock, but I didn't have as much movement/slop as you guys are expressing.

The upgraded trans mounts def made shifting a dream, and took away slop.

OK thought i'd update this thread.

so i replaced my front trans mount bushing (the ottp one still) and then i got rid of the stage2 plate in the rear and replaced the whole mount with the gmpp/lnf rear one.

well all this did nothing for me the engine still moves around WAY too much, to the point where in 1st gear and 2nd u can hear a seldon clunk or click noise. say i'm cruising in 2nd going like 20 and let off the gas - you feel like the engines bouncing back and forth and i ******* HATE IT!!!!

so i just now ordered a ttr upper engine mount... ttr SAYS it will not allow the engine to move more than .050" so i think that might just solve my issue we'll see. either way i'm expecting horrific vibrations, especiailly when i have the a/c on but it should be worth it for a much better, planted feeling driving experience.

thoughts? i'll reupdate once i do that mount.

I had the same issue. I did TTR upper, Powell stage one, and bought a new OEM rear mount (installed WITH powell stage one plate) AND problem solved

I went to the track a few weeks ago, launched hard with only an Ingalls, and broke an axle. Since then I have installed OTTP trans mounts, Powell CAB's, and DSS axles. I left the Ingalls on out of laziness, but so far the combo seems to have taken care of the engine shifting / bucking you describe.

its wierd some people have said similar things i'm just guessing my engine mounts shot from driving and letting it buck around so much

I don't recommend using the ingalls with them.

I replaced my ingalls with a powell s1 rotated mount, and gmpp rear mount, and had better results over the ingalls.
Do you get much vibrations from running the front Powell Stage 1 rotated mount?

(I upgraded my SS/SC mounts to SS/TC mounts and recently added an Ingalls Torque Damper to help with some of the excessive engine movement)
