nebody got the SS skirts? got the front and rear lips.. just need the skirts

the side skirts should fit a 4door right? i remember reading somewhere that surprisingly the 2door and 4dr are the same lenght

 

yea they'll fit. you just gotta use 3m double sided tape to hold em on down the middle thou. the only reason for that is cuz the ss models actually have somethin behind the skirts to hold them to the car.

 

alright nice.. im getting my car back monday bc i got the front and rear ss lips installed ..all i need is dem skirts.. u think $450 is overpriced for painting and custom installing the two lips on my car? i feel like it is.. before i go to pick it up monday ima call some bodyshops from back home and get quotes bc somethings seems fishy.. let me knwo wut ut hink

Honestly I don't know. It might be. I know the SS n/a has slots for them that all you need to do is cut the slots and use these little thingies to hold the **** in place. Might as well tape it too. But I'm assuming you've got an LS? The rear MAY, but the front won't.. An SS front lip might look funny on an LS front bumper though..? How much did you pay for the front lip? I want to get one for my n/a..

 

i got an LT but have an ss front bumper so its gonna look prob real nice.. rear lips look mint on the 4dr's..someone with a red one already did it.. looks real clean.. and i got the front and rear lips for 240..not bad considering they want about 350 for each at the stealership

 

450 isnt to bad considerin they did have to do cuttin on the bumpers to put the lips on. its still a lil high but not to bad either thou. paint on each lip is probably close to 100 each so i'd say you did come out all that bad.

 

I know the guy you're talking about. If that's what you're doing.. Then word. That **** looks good on a sedan..

 

yea.. thats pretty much the route im going... ive been trying to do that since i got my car in oct 06..but until the last couple of months, finding the ss lips and skirts was like findind baby jesus in hell...hahah.. so my advice for you getting that lip is postin a thread saying u need one and just keep looking until you hear nething.. i no there is a couple ppl sellin theirs on here bc when i was looking i had like 5 offers but went with the jhrpaintball's offer..

and when jhrpaintball PM'd me it was like a 7 months after i posted my thread for the lips and it was completely random.. GOOD LUCK BRO AND THANKS FOR THE HELP HUYS

 

well they make 4 dr ss/tc that have the lip so base it off of that

 

the new ss sedan doesnt have the rear lip thou only the front.

How much did you pay for the front lip? I can always repaint if it's the wrong color, but I am not going to pay a fortune from the dealer..

another question..looks like i found some side skirts...if i dont wanna dremel the tab slots into my car so the side skirts fit with the stock tabs they come with...can i cut the side skirt tabs off and just bolt them up on each end and then double side tape them up? my buddy did this on his honda hatch...works great and looks real clean.. jw if this would work with our skirts?

 

im pretty sure thats your only option to mount the sides cuz the ss has a certain way for them to mount to the body that other models doesnt have.

 

for all you 2.2's out there..just got the ss lip kit put on and the rear lip is not an exact fit at all... maybe for the 2.4 but def not for the 2.2 even tho there is a how-to on it for the 2.2.its too long..after installing it is a inch too long on each side..thats how much it extends out into the rear wheels wells.. alot of fab was needed but now its all set.. just figured id let everyone know who was thinking about doing this..

 

did you put the front lip on the ls front bumper?
