I thought Powell said v1 were best for the 1/4 due to the spring rate. And the subsequent ones are best for autox. And the v3 are corrected v2, and v4 are made in America.

Some v3 were mislabeled v4 so they kinda skipped a real v4 and went to v5. All of them were made in America the v5's are just made in a different plant by the same company.

As far as I know V1 is overall the best for everything but only slightly.

V1 has different spring rates and a different ride height than all the rest. That's really all there is to know.

No the spring rate is the same it just has the change in rate at a different point (progressive springs).

Different rates and different wire diameters. I am aware they are progressive.

v.1 and all the other variants have the same rising (progressive) spring rate and ride quality. The trim height of v.1 is .25 inches front and .75 inches rear HIGHER than all the other variants The front/rear rake was higher with v.1 to help race track turn-in, drag strip launch, and also help HHR which are 300 lbs heavier in the rear than the Cobalt. We made the v.1 springs at a trim ride height at slightly less than stock TC and folks werent happy, wanted more low. ..

v.2 the spring wire diameter was changed to achieve .25 front and .75 rear LOWER to satisfy the "more low" folks. We had found we didnt need as much rake up at the back with folks using our rear sway bars, so that was good; also the rear coils were made larger at the pigtail to help get the isolators on.

Well, folks complained that the isolator fit was TOO loose at the rear pigtail. SO pigtails were tightened up at the rear on the next run, v.3

v.3 was same as v.2 but, like I just said, the rear pigtail was tightened back up to be snug on the isolator, and the plant manufacturing location changed from Logansport IN to Pokotok MIS; but powdercoating and etching was still done at Logansport. The etcher made a mistake and v.3 was labeled v.4 ( wow its hard to keep this straight!).

V.5 are made in MIS, pc'd and etched in MIS, same as v.3 /v.4, and are heading this week(!) to Illinois where we keep our inventory so purchasers dont get Canadian border costs added in.

thats the summary. Thanks for choosing or considering genuine Powell hardcore raceparts!
There's the exact differences

There is basically no difference unless you get down to millimeters.

So lets put this out there since my sarcasm wasn't noted. New members

New YYZ springs $360 shipped

These $200 (not sure if shipped or not) so you're getting a practically new product for at least $135 off and no one has bought it when these are the best handling springs out there. 1/3rd the price you'll rarely see that again, I would never sell these spring because of how great they are.

I'd already have bought these if they weren't the same as stock ride height.

they are not at stock ride height; a very little lower(5mm) than a stock SS LNF ,15 mm lower than the SS LSJ and a lot lower than the LS /LT ( around 25 mm I am guessing)
