Talking CBodnar's 07 Cobalt SS/SC vs BWSW214's 07 Cobalt SS/SC (NITROUS)

07 cobalt ss/sc (BWSW214 silver)
gm stage 2, injen cai, 2.80 (BWSW214 silver car)
vs.
gm stage 2, airbox mod, 2.80 !*w/o nitrous! (me)
he was power shifting i didn't so you can see where he gets the jump a little. i just shift fast instead of power shifting.

Nitrous Run
07 cobalt ss/sc (silver)
gm stage 2, injen cai, 2.80 (silver car)
vs.
gm stage 2, airbox mod, 2.80, 50 wet shot (me)

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...ssc_170224.htm

this is just after putting in my nitrous. it is actually less than a 50shot and i am running extra fuel. it is still on the gm stage 2 tune. i am not running a bottle warmer or pressure gauge or anything else other than i listed. yes it is still stock everything else (even headers, dp, and exhaust)

total money spent in brand new parts.

gm stage 2- $400
2.80 pulley- $50
filter- $20
sniper wet nitrous kit- $285
1step colder plugs from autozone (friend works there) - $5

-After we raced he said i pulled an easy 8cars on him. i went from 40-120 ish he said he went to 40-110 ish.

If YOU WATCH COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

im still curious on the 2.8 AND nitrous on the stg 2 tune...i wont even run a 2.85 unless i have a heat exchanger AND a real tune for it.

its perfectly fine on that tune...its been ran on that tune with a 50 shot plus some for about a year and a half until he bumped it up barely and actually got traction and it was to much for the car to handle lol

I think it is bad because I have seen how lean people are with a 2.8 on a stage 2 setup and nitrous just builds more heat which these cars already produce enough of. To me it is not a safe setup but that is just my opinion and when ever you change the amount of boost or nitrous you definitely need to be retuned. I will give the OP credit that his car moves but what good is it if it wont last.

umm my friend has the exact set up and hes had it for a year and a half and he goes through a bottle every two weeks sometimes every week, so i def. think it its fine to run that setup

actually, the nitrous wet shot, dry too, will cool the intake temperature. The only heat it produces is going to be in the combustion chamber and seeing as it is a wet kit, it is fueled without taxing the injectors. No Problems.
Good work Cbodnar. Now get tuned and really wake up that car.
