Ask and you shall receive.

Keep in mind the 2010 GT is pretty much a intake/tune 05-09 GT.

Thats still very good that the v-6 is even keeping up, hats off to the v-6 stang

Bumpin Balt 07-29-2010 11:14 AM

This is why my next car will most likely be a 2011+ V6 Mustang! Fuel economy AND power=WIN!

fakameanrepresent 07-29-2010 11:49 PM

Porsche has always been making killer power with an n/a v6 but it comes with the price tag also. Both Lexus and Nissan have been making 300hp v6 cars for the last few years.

Nissan's 3.7 with 332hp is pretty badass. But, to have a realistic daily driver v6 that runs 13s...thank you Ford :usa:

EXsoccer1921 07-30-2010 08:10 PM

still slower than what an sc does stock.

blackss2.0 07-30-2010 08:15 PM

So what kind of potential do these v6 motors have for modding?

probably able to reach 300whp with full bolt ons and tune. maybe a tad more. the 2010 GT may be about as fast as a 2011 v6, but a full bolt on 2010 will leave a full bolt on 2011 v6 in the dust.

what? '11 v6 destroys a stock sc.....

07SuperchargedSS 07-30-2010 08:42 PM

Damn thats fast! What about the 304hp V6 camaro? As fast? Or slower because of weight?

really cause it just went a little over a tenth slower than what some sc's do stock.

Dart_SI 07-30-2010 08:43 PM

at least i know now that a stock SS/TC can take the nev v6 stangs too.

what did the mustang trap? you cant really compare ET's of fwd and rwd cars.

07SuperchargedSS 07-30-2010 08:51 PM

102mph

Best et and trap for the new v6 I've seen is 13.7 and 104mph.

you got that backwards. ETs can be compared. traps cannot. a FWD and RWD can both run the same ET but have two very different traps.

well we can atleast beat the guy in the video  and i'm sure a few others as the average racer is no motortrend driver.

Acey 07-31-2010 03:56 AM

No way a new V6 loses to a stock SC unless the Mustang driver literally does not know how to drive his car, or misses a gear. A stock TC will be within a tenth or two under IDEAL conditions.

i defended/corrected myself. saying the average new v6 drive isn't on par with a car and driver professional driver. and the one in the video only ran a 9.3 somthin. i was running 9.2's stock.

08ShowbaltLS 08-01-2010 02:43 AM

'11 v6 can beat a sc in the quarter mile but it would be a good race from a roll.
'11 v6 is a good race with the tc in the quarter mile but the tc would win from a roll.

10-104 traps that's enough top-end to pull a stock SC and hang with a TC from a roll.

08ShowbaltLS 08-01-2010 01:31 PM

where r u guys getting 104 traps? the quickest i have ever seen was when it ran a 13.7 from motortrend and that was a 102 trap. the mustang gets excellent traction off the line but really isnt the fastest car from a roll. the tc has trapped 104 and i have proof of that.

another thing is you shouldnt go with motortrends 13.7 time anyway because that was a tester tweaked by ford and if u notice, other tester companies dont even really come close to that time. if u look around in the mustang forums, you will see countless threads of them wondering why they cant even get theyre stangs in the 13s at all. most ppl run around low-mid 14s when they go. i wonder why?
