I have raced my friend 3 other times with just him in his car and myself in my car. For some reason everytime i pull a car to a car and a half and maybe more if we keep going. Both of us are stock. Does anyone know why? Could it be cause im just shifting better or faster? Or is it just cause black car's have more horsepower? lol

could be an issue of weight. how many ppl in his car and how many in urs??

in this run he probably had more weight than me. we both had 3 people in the car. same with my srt4 runs in the other topic.

other times i have done some runs with him like i said just me and him with nothing in each car and i still pull.

 

dude honestly, it doesnt look like you have a factory freak at all...It looked like more of an issue of gearing as in where you started in 2nd gear and he started in 3rd gear...thats plain and simple i have raced friends with factory freaks and they beat me by wat a fender no stock vs stock car is gonna beat a car thats the same in all aspects from a roll by close to 2 cars

 

Thanks for sharing the vid. As for why your faster its really hard to say. Go to a track and find out what both you run. Go together on the same day. You see, on the street reaction time from lights and all kinds of things go into effect. Street racing is much differant then track. You may be a better driver or you may be quicker to respond off the line. Your car could very well be quicker, I know alot of SS/SC guys who ran at the same track as me stock and they never came close to pulling off a 14.2 @ 100mph stock 1/4th time. Good luck man, go to the track! Hope you have a factory freak!

 

now explain this? i had an 07 redline comp pack. and with only an intake and an after resonator exhaust i was able to beat every ss/sc with the same mods or alittle more i ran up against in ventura.. and once i got springs and had a deadly launch i was dead even with a stage 2 balt when i was factory tune.. and once i was stage 2 i was able to beat a 2.85 pullied redline by atleast a car on the roll and 2 plus from a dig. and the race aginst the 2.85 we BOTH had full gas tanks of 91..and i was told i would get eaten by him(pullied redline) and a fairlady 350 z.. end result? i whooped all of there asses. the pullied RL got so mad he redid his tune took his cat out put in a bwoody trans mount. but still got pulled on by my stage 2...

 

some things we can't explain i guess. just make sure you get what your talking about on video!

 

my dad has that radar..and its the worst radar cuz it says K ALERT all the time!!!!!!!

 

you might be the better driver of the two
