They're just Philips XtremeVison bulbs. They're actually just really bright white, but the lens flare in the pic makes them look pink.

Nikon P510. It's not quite DSLR quality, but it has alot of good features and the manual settings mode is really intuitive. 16 megapixel and 42x optical zoom too.

Thanks!

it might be a good idea for anyone who posts a picture in here to post similiar info with their pictures so others have an idea what settings produce the same shots under the right conditions

Nice post-apoc stuff there. That's a location I need to get to indeed.

Having so much trouble narrowing down my favorite / best photo of 2012.

i went to get my 50mm lens replaced today because there is something inside (dirt or a chip) they said they'd exchange it next month. apparently the canon 50mm 1.8 AF II is sold out in all locations. They are even on backorder from japan for at least the next month since Canon Canada ran out :O

ah well i'll play with this one until then photos still look great but i can't get past the idea of a small mark inside.

That's actually a bit stupid. How are you going to run out of your most popular lens LOL. I saw them on eBay for expensive I guess that's why now.

That's weird. Was on sale for $90 from Adorama like last week, but then again who knows.

may be different for the US. probably have more inventory. all i know is they said it would take a month before more came to Canon Canada from Japan since Canon's warehouse is empty of these lenses. that being said. they called me today and told me they managed to locate a new one somewhere
