Played by this guy:

Just curious if there are any Band of Brothers fans out there. My brother is and he's deployed right now, so I'm kinda stoked about this:
As some of you know I'm a photographer at Ft Indiantown Gap. Today at 1500 we're dedicating a conference room at our Regiment building to him.

BoB is the greatest mini-series in the history of TV, and thats pretty badass
Winters is probably the least...senile (can maintain a quick paced conversation) of the survivors of E company, atleast thats how it appears from the interviews ive seen

Damnit, leave it to the Army. His attendence was a rumor.
They just dedicated the room. He didn't actually come.
From what I caught of the convo his health hasn't been the greatest the past couple years. But before that he used to do a lot out here; he would come and speak with the troops.
Grew up right here in PA, just down the road in Ephrata, born in Lancaster.

I have been reading about D-Day since I was 8 years old and I first read The Longest Day. I am a huge fan of Band of Brothers. In 2007 my fiance and I went to Normandy and spent several days touring the D-Day battle locations. On one of the days we took a guided tour of the Band of Brothers battle sites. We went to Brecourt Manor where Winters took out the German guns firing on Utah Beach. We went to the Bloody Gulch outside of Carentan where E Co. 2/506th held off the 17th SS Panzers. We went to the Marning Farm where E Co. gathered on the morning of D-Day. We went to Ste. Marie Dumont - the objective of Easy Company on D-Day. If anyone wants to visit the D-Day battle locations, I highly recommend the guided tour. Our tour guide was a historian who had written several books and he had access to private property where many of the battles took place.
This picture depicts members of Easy Company along with some 4th Infantry Div. guys and was taken on June 7, 1944 in Ste. Marie Dumont.

Here is the same monument in 2007

This is the field at Brecourt Manor

The "Bloody Gulch" outside of Carentan. Easy Co. was dug in on the left side of the road.

The memorial to Lt. Thomas Meehan, the first CO of Easy Company who died the night before D-Day when his C-47 was shot down.
