Had he said it was an LSJ stroked to 2.2 I might have believed that because the LSJ is a destroked L61. Hell I dunno anything about stroking and boring or whatever, all I know is I own an LE5 and that is not an LE5.

you realize that ecotecs are a line of engines right? that multiple parts fit on multiple engines? a 2.4 crank will bolt in to an LSJ. its a matter of making everything else work with it. custom flywheel/clutch assembly is a big part of it. i really don't think this guy has the time or money in the car for that

even thought you can put a 2.4 crank in a lsj, that doesnt make it a 2.4 like he said it was, all 3 of these guys are so out there in outter space, it would take something bigger then the suns gravity to pull them back in.

displacement is determined primarily by stroke. a 2.4 crank will bring the 2.0LSJ to 2.3L, then boring of the cylinders would have to pick up the rest. boring 0.3L is a big damn amount with our thin sleeves

Would there even be an advantage in bolting a 2.4 crank to an LSJ?

more displacement. but there are a lot of little things, usually custom pistons, custom rods as well. your best bet for doing it efficiently is wait until zzp comes out with it. if they even come out with it that is. who knows the demand for it

Seen this video on youtube before I found this thread, these kids are somthing else. I commented the first time I viewed it(GregLNF). Ppl like that make balt owners look ignorant & should drive off a bridge, just my opinion though.

its because of the amount of work involved in it. no replacement for displacement. but honestly on my set-up i would just crank the boost up

you should challenge him to a race, that would be ******* epic, you kicking his ass...however do it on the track. If he was going that fast during the race and i lived in connecticut, i would be taking these 2 videos to the police.

I still don't believe it to be near 500whp, maybe 350 if he's lucky. Just my opinion though, side exit ruined that side skirt. What engine was in it? To me it looked like a l61/2.2l ecotech, but then again I dont see the other engines as much as my own, so I am prob wrong.

2.0L LSJ. The car was originally a SS/SC. Look at all the parts in the engine bay, the A-Pillar and Boost Gauge and body kit.

I noticed all that but you know he could have got all those and swapped it out. I seen a lsj impersonating a lnf at the gm tuner bash last weekend in ohio. Nice lookin balt & owner was cool he even had the 08+ steering wheel, the lnf wheels, honey comb grill, had me fooled.

I believe ya bout it bein the lsj though

Let's offer him cash if he can go to the dyno, record it, and make 500whp +

well, the injectors that came with the kit were maxed out at 7psi so thats why he was stuck running 7psi, the owner is a borderline ricer but the one time i rode in it, this was the play by play:

lagggggggggggggg, spool, ROAST! *shift*
initial lag, spools , ROAST *shift*
SQUEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow we moved no where lol

it was pretty stupid IMO
hed probably pull decent if he did a roll in 3rd though;
and last i heard he blew the seal on the turbo, very ironic considering he drives like a vagina lol but whatever, to each his own lol
