CobaltSS 16 TVS Build Thread
#204
so just a little update if any of you care
Must have gotten by the mod bug recently lol.... got a lot of things up the pipeline coming. Was gonna stay quite till everythings in, but it doesnt matter anyways.
I just scooped up a TVS .... got the stock pulley, 2.9", and 2.7" as well. I will be running e85 with it. I am going to pick up a return style and probably start off with the 2.9" . Not gonna run this setup until spring but the TVS is in my possession.
Secondly... just recieved my new taillights. GTR style retrofit headlights by colodude (adrian). They're so freakin nice. Going to install them this weekend and I am going to black out my 3rd brake like and rear bumper lights lightly with niteshade to match the taillights. I am already running an LED 3rd brake light retrofit so this will complete the look finally.
Nitto NT555 tires will be in later this week. Sadly I'm taking varrstoens off for the winter in a couple short weeks. Will probably mount the tires and store them until spring.
Guess you could say I'm already excited for spring.
Believe it or not I'm still running the stock clutch (driver mod FTW). GMPP clutch has been pondering the back of my mind. Thats also part of the plan for next year as well once I get everything put in and tuned.

OKKK i see you homeboy !!!
putting the big boy pants on now lol. You better get that GMPP clutch ordered cuz that TVS and your right foot are going to beat the hell out of the clutch lol.
I should have mine in by the end of Nov. thanks you Mr. CT
Get the 450 pump with the return and have josh send you the hose and fittings so you can mount the regulator on the firewall. Ill help you put it in if you need me to.

Sounds good. I heard some people were having trouble getting the 450 fit, including you iirc??
Is it difficult getting the rsfs installed? Haven't really looked into it aside from a how to on the redline forums.

I heard about the 450 needing some serious trimming
I had to trim a little bit to get the 320 installed, not a big deal really
The return system install was done by myself and slowbalt2000 and our other buddy, took a lot longer than we thought but we were screwing around too.
Drop tank
look up youtube video on fuel pump cobalt install
once pump is out, replace with new pump, replace filter, some trimming required nothing too crazy
you gotta remove the stock return portion on the pump holder deal and cut a wire, then shove the return line down by the pump as good as you can
remove stock external filter, replace with new one way filter
remove end on stock fuel rail ,replace with the regulator and all that nonsense (use fuel safe plumbers tape and probably a new o-ring)
crank it all down good and tight
run return line along the stock fuel line to the tank
reinstall
set base pressure to ~45ish until ur tuning, then when tuning hook up the boost referance line (T into a vac hose) to the regulator.
And enjoy your terrible fuel mileage!

How do you like the 320??? that was the one I was leaning towards.
I thought the 450 was kinda overkill. Any issues with the AEM 320?
