Not Work Safe dont text while driving

Had this posted in the dungeon for a couple days because of the vid, but wanted it to be seen by more. dungeon thread is being deleted.

Just saw this on chevyhhr.net Dont text while driving. Video is a little graphic.

Very moving. I'm glad you posted this. Having been a very serious car accident, I can relate.

When I saw the babies eyes, I completely lost it.

To think, there's gonna be people who laugh at this and say, wow, they did a shitty acting job or crap. Idiots.

Seen this already.
It's ******* stupid to do.
You shouldn't need a ******* dramatic video to inform you that you're retarded if you participate in such behavior.

Your reaction time is severely slowed whilst texting.
There was study which showed texting impairs your reaction time by about 20x more than that of a drunk driver (Just from memory, it could be more or less than that figure - though it IS greater than a drunk drivers reaction time)

I only text when at stop signs or red lights if needed.
I'd rather be beeped at to go on a green than go ahead a kill myself while on the highway.

movie is kinda cheesy i can see the point tho. I love how everyone acts like they dont do it tho.

I have been driving for a 5 years and have had a cell phone the whole time and never came close to crashing because of it. I have ran into the curb before when it was my first night shift and i didnt sleep the day before and hit the curb cuz i started to doze off. besides that no distractions caused a wreck on my part.

Not trying to defend it tho cuz it is stupid and i try to wait til the lights/stop signs and **** of the sort, but i have been known to do it while actually driving as well.

the movie proves the point none the less

It's even worse when you own an iPhone, because then you HAVE to take your eyes off.
The digital keyboard has no reference point, so it's all guess work.

Whereas with a blackberry I used to text without looking, I'd just hold the wheel and drive with my phone fingers tapping away delightfully.

Of course the iPhone is a much more superior device when compared to the Blackberry - o that's that.

this was always my favorite of the PSA videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8QxZ...eature=related

watching that guy get in a fender bender in the beginning, and think nothing of it....its just crazy. You never know what even the smallest accidents can do.

that video is sad and it shock alright. i never text on a phone while driving and i try my hardest not to talk on the phone while driving, if id to i make it less than a min on the phone cause i dont feel safe doing it

i have lost a few people do to stuipd people on the road drunks. people on the phone, ext ext, i myself almost daily get hit by a paris h wanna be on the phone not watching the road. i my self have been hit in a parking walk to my car while some tool thinks hes cool doing a burn out, showing off to his buddies, thank fully i jumped and landed on the hood of his car, but my point is with that is it could of been worse, it could of be a kid and little old lady, its sad that we should have to show this to people like one member has said, but i know a bunch of people in my state that need to see this, it might make them think. and open their eyes

I see acidents like this every day, being a news photojournalist.
Was at one yesterday for 3hrs. Woman lost control of an suv swerved across three lanes and hit a motorcyclist, killing him. Sad thing is he had just pulled out of a gas station. Only made it 55yds before he was killed.

This is a good PSA. The problem is, some people still won't get it.

wow glad everyone is liking this psa. it is common sense I guess, but when you see a graphic vid (even though its staged) it sinks in more. show it to everyone you know.
