The Droid was the best phone on the market. Slaps the iPhone. Droid X IS THE best phone on the market. I got the Droid the first day it came out and I love it! The thing that makes the X better is the 1MHZ processor, where as the original droid only has 600mhz, the 512MB of ram vs. 256 on the original Droid, and the 8GB INTERNAL memory. All of these combined with the update of 2.2 that allows you to install apps on the SD card make the Droid X WAY faster, which is my only complaint about the original. I may get the new one...not sure yet. Plus you get verizon vs. crappy AT&T????
(The part about the iPhone coming to Verizon is all rumors...could be true, could not be.)

Meh I dunno. Motoblur still sucks... which makes the Evo and Incredible both better than the X for me and surely a lot of other people who hate Blur. The Galaxy S with a slideout keyboard will also be better than the Droid X, I think Sprint's getting it.

I'll give you 2 better Verizon phones that will be out before then... the Droid2, and the Samsung Fascinate.

By the way, the Droid X will not be able to be rooted that easily. It has a built in eFuse that will disable the bootloader if the Rom or Bootloader is messed with. One of the main differences from the Evo is the processor. The Droid X uses a Texas Instrument OMAP processor with a built in GPU, while the Evo uses the Snapdragon. The Droid X will be a better performer in the onscreen gameplay and basic phone use. I am not gonna jump on the boat though, especially being that its not as snappy as my rooted Droid, and the fact moto put that damn feature that shuts your phone down if you try to root. Hopefully some developers hack it though! Moto also wants to put out a phone in the next 6 mos. that has a 2ghz processor and a 1280x720 screen also. Should be some good things to come from android in the coming years.

If you wait longer theres a "rumored" dual core droid coming out, the droidpro or droidwe. all rumors though.

There are issues with the X though. My coworkers shutter on the camera is broke, so you only see black, dnla is way iffy with ps3 and when its charging the screen isnt as responsive, pull it off charge and its fine.

true, except holding any phone causes signal loss. So..., actually no you can't hold it any way you want without losing signal.

It was nice of Moto to say one thing, then say something completely different. It was good they cleared it up. Its still gonna be a pain in the ass to hack this phone, but someone will, there is no doubt. I am still waiting for the rumored droid pro!

Screw holding it, with ONE finger I was able to drop an iPhone 4 from 5 bars to no service. No other phone comes close to that level of fail. (This from a 3GS owner)

That would be because no one has 4G yet, Sprint's 4G is basically 3.5G, just like T-Mobile's 3.5G.

Ill tell you straight up the dnla is useless on the Droid X dont even bother with it. At least from what i here, maybe they will have an update or something but as it sits now its glitchy and shitty. Placed my order for the Droid X today and already on back order, mine wont ship until the 23rd

Like I just said... 4G isn't that much better than 3G. It has potential though in the FUTURE.

Not true in a way.

There is an app that you can have that allows you to make video calls anywhere anytime.

Screw the future, 4G is MUCH better than 3G right now. Sprint's 4G isn't 4G so it's irrelevant.
