Nice bike man.... I would have gotten a brand new bike when I got my 03 Kawi but I am a new rider and I would really hate to spend alot of money on a new bike and drop it.. Plus the deal I got on my bike plus all the riding gear (which saves me from having to get that stuff right away, I can wait till next season to get new stuff)...

Maybe after 2 seasons of riding I will get a brand new bike.. Not sure what kind yet.. And ya I hear you about the rain.. I got my licences on May 13 at 4pm I got home from writing the test.. I then went out riding and got caught up in some rain my first time riding lol.. It was sorta not what I wanted to get into right away but it happened and I was fine.. And since then its been raining so I didn't even get to take my bike into work.. Oh well.. I will have to wait it out..

Here is mine..

sry to hear about your friend. but ill def be careful my uncle and a few of my friends have been in some bad wrecks but mostly from being cocky. i just started riding so i know my limitations plus i need to break it in the first 1000 miles which will help me get a feel for the bike. i cant pass 6000rpm for 600 miles than its 9000rpm till 1000 miles. as of now i have about 70 on it so i got some time.

i had a rocket but i sold it so i could get my balt. once i get back from BCT and AIT, i will be getting a Gsxr 1000. and am gonna turbo it with hahns racing turbo kit for the bike. i cant wait. Have fun on ur bikes and becareful, my friend Mike Just died a few weeks ago on his bike. truck pulled out right in front of him. everyone be safe and if u've never ridden before takea safty course first, it could save urs and others lives.

yeah i had a friend think the same way as you so after 200 miles he started having fun on it. long story short his motor has a ton of problems now and his warranty is up. kinda the same way with my first balt, i beat the hell out it from day one and it ended up costing me, ran a 9.8@ 74mph in it. the new one i broke in the way it was meant to and well ran a 9.1 @ 78mph. ill leave the choice up to you on you vehicles but i know im gonna take the time and break it in right.
