Paint prep.




Final result:


2 coats engine primer
2 coats metallic silver
3 coats candy grape
2 coats clear
1 stuck mosquito

It would have looked much better if I used a darker blue metallic color for the base and then the transparent "grape". I was aiming for purple and this is what i got. It still pops really nicely just doesn't quite match my car.

can full of rattle. actually my clear coat didn't even have a rattle like it's supposed to but i used it anyways.

so you were aiming to get a grape color from that paint and it came out red? lol correct me if im wrong

 

What i used on my brakes ....matches my Dupont Hot Hues Irish Green Candy

 

That's correct. I should have tested before i started but i followed the instructions instead. I think if i would have done a metallic blue flake with the "grape" on top it would have been the color i was looking for.

 

i dont know **** about candies or paints. this is interesting

Model paint is awesome, it comes out sooooo much finer than normal spray paint.

 

Rattle can that shitz....I did on my old car
