Thanks for all the comments. I cant remember exactly how the stock *** comes off but i think you just turn the shift boot alittle and down then it comes off, not 100% sure though, i did it the first day i got the car. oh and its a base model. I wanted the ss but i figured the base would be ok... for now

I like the change of the shifter boot, but doesnt go with inside clors the of car.
The yellow exterior is defintely appealling to the eye, nice car

Hey i am a fellow base coupe owner my self, arrival blue though. Is that a fart can or cat back b/c that looks real good. And is that a short throw or just a boot and a knob? Very nice ride though base coupe well represented.

The boot might, the shifter won't, he's got a base without the lockout. We'd have to find a knob that was compatible with the reverse lockout.

When I was removing the shifter out of my Cavalier to put in a B&M Short throw shifter, I guess I didn't put the link cables all the way in, or maybe it was that they weren't in far enough. Anyways, because of that, the shifter wasn't set far enough back to be blocked by the small piece of plastic that worked as the lock out. I could move it into reverse no problem. I don't know if it caused anything to go wrong, but you could always do that. If you don't want to mess with the cables, like I said above, all the lock out is is a piece of plastic that hits the shifter unless you lift up the lock out. Well, sorry if this isn't all to easy to read. I'm tired and not thinking too straight. Plus my girlfriend is lying on my bed waiting for me.

well, to go to sleep

Goodnight
