Got to play with a D40x - Lotta pics!!!

So I work at Circuit City as some of you know and my manager let me borrow our D40x display so I can learn the features and get more comfortable at selling DSLRs...and here are the results:

ALBUMS:
....Best: http://picasaweb.google.com/KKanowitz/D40xCobaltsBEST
....Rest: http://picasaweb.google.com/KKanowitz/D40xCobalts

Best ones at low res (click for full image):

Yeah, those look like something I could do with a point and shoot. A SLR is going to give a wole lot better quality when used to it's potential.

Pics are ok but they look pretty standard
Are you shooting in RAW format or JPEG format?

Are you using the M mode or Auto mode?

Several were in auto...I did a few in manual... I just wasn't sure what result I was trying to get in manual...

If you really like the camera, Jessie will sell you his

Pictures are decent, some are under exposed though... I would kill for a view like that to shoot around

Well I know I probably won't buy for a little bit, but I'm not sure if I should go D40x or D60...

What could I have done to make these less boring? As far as camera settings and stuff...

Oh yeah I love Lake Mead. It's only about 20 miles outside of Vegas, too.
