Got tuned yesterday, videos inside

ARM and jon came up saturday to do some tuning, after a few issues we got the car running as it should, ( we asked how much boost to run and the car just said, "all of it") ended up on 15psi, not sure on timing or afr. It pulls great and I couldn't be happier. It's a handful going from my durango to this gotta get my meth kit installed and then I can run more psi. If I had to guess hp it's probably around 350. Heres a few videos. I have 3 total so I'll link as they upload

Good stuff man. I haven't really followed your build all too in depth to be honest, so there's a good chance that I missed something along the way, but I'm just curious as to why you opted to not do any sort of intercooling?

I'm with this question^

Also thought you were going for alot higher power. Is your car on a recirculated dump? Liked how yours sounds...My car sounds ridiculous with open dump. Hate it.

Sounds good. Love the whistle from the turbo as it spools.

Should have kept the windows up on that last video.... that wind noise

Copying ARM and cooling with meth, although the meth kit isn't installed yet so 15psi was where we felt was a good stopping point for now. Spool time is reduced and when shifting boost is right there not " spoooooool shift spooooooool shift"

Didn't know you went turbo, good decision. It's an open dump and I love it. Corsa 2.5" catback is attached in all these videos, when my cutout is open it whistles like a powerstroke

And to everyone else, I know I didn't hit 600 yet. I'll admit going from driving my Durango for about a year to this is a bit of a handful but I love it! I'm not so hung up on numbers anymore, never the less, she will be turnt up soon

Open dump is the only way to go for me I could care less about BOV noise, but that dump is the awesome. And with le turbo the exhaust is so quiet. My 3" exhaust is damn near as quiet as my other car with a header, catted 2.5" DP and stock catback, and I love it.

When I say powerstroke I mean straight whistle, but thats just because of such a big compressor. idk open dump always sounds good to me

I'd imagine the sound difference is because of the difference in turbo size

Yeah probably....gonna have to pick up a 259 and run only 8lbs....haha want that sound. Thats why I wanna switch to recirculated to see if I'll be able to hear the turbo more that way. Guess I'll keep scaring people with open dump when I get the car up again. Cant wait for vids of when you turn the boost up lol. And #s ofcourse.

Also it could be because of how little boost I run....

I can hear mine too, but I meant I don't care what it sounds like, its even tucked down in the fender lol. I think all the ricers around town that get a bov or aftermarket bpv that goes off under any acceleration as their first mod have ruined it for me

Yeah that's how mine is. Straight whistling at the women until full spool then it just screams like a son of a bitch lol. You can kinda hear it in my dyno vids.

No E85 access in your area? Would make for lots of fun with the non-intercooled setup, very strong response, great octane, you could run it pig rich with tons of timing and spool it like a stock LNF turbo

I'm running E. Thats part of the reason my engine is still alive even after an accidental 25psi spike
