Again, you are replacing the pistons, which means taking off the timing belt. Don't bother.

I'd say she's good to go man. Just throw on a bigger fart can, intake, and install a fake bov. YOu'll have no problems pulling Cobra's

Just kidding, good project car. I like the idea of having a daily driver and a project car as well. I am looking at doing something similar with a V8 VERY soon.

when my cousin put a b18c1 in his integra, he had to do something funny to wire in the vtec right. for the life of me i cant remember what he did. i can tell you he had to swap the engine, tranny, as well as the wiring harness and pcm cause its completly different from normal to vtec.

Yeah but then the wiring would be a nightmare, along with the need for custom axles and mounts.

Sometimes you have to cut your losses...

But like Halfcent said, just continue the engine work and take it out of the engine bay so you can get a better look of what might possibly been causing it.

Read the sig Hack lol

I will say one thing. Well, maybe a few.

1. what is up with the side stripe and side decals? lol.

2. That was a steal for under 400 bucks. Around here, you could hardly buy the shell for that.

3. You've got a great platform to start on. Me and my friend are building up a '90 Si, and it's by far one of the most fun cars to drive. And I've driven Porsches before. He's on his 3rd and he's only 16. The first was stock. The 2nd had a ZC. And this new one currently has the stock SOHC motor with over 300k on it. Runs perfect. In the process of getting B18 motor in as we speak.

4. If you need any parts or if you'vve got any questions, let me know. We'll hook you up. We have a spare CRX we're parting out/selling as-is/something. Let me know. BTW, it's the ZC one we're trying to sell. The ZC one and the new one are both Si's.

I know, that's what I have been trying to tell everyone here!

Yeah, my engine sohould have somewhere in the order of 100-200k on it. It runs and drives great under 4k RPM, it actually starts easier than my cobalt, and never fails to start. I started it the other day in negative degree weather on the first crank!

The only thing I'm looking for at this point is an unmolested stock dash, but I should be able to find one of those at my local junkyard once the weather clears up. Thanks though

Most of my current issues are being caused by parts OUTSIDE the engine lol

It appears that my ignition problems could be the igniter. And my CEL problems could be caused by the O2 sensor.

Keep a couple of spare O2 sensors and swap them out with a clean one when you get a CEL
