I would gladly intern for ******* free if it was a legit studio, underpaid

If they didn't use whitebalance they used RAW to correct in PP

NOPE and they also shoot in program mode sometimes too (usually like the random candid pictures)

um... ok i don't know what else you want me to tell you... i know what I saw.... i went to about 15 jobs with them they were either reunions or weddings and worked in his "house" office studio and watched what they did (i found nudes of the girl worker too lmao on the computer. and apparently she don't know what a razor is...) and I'm telling you first hand experience they NEVER touched the white balance or use RAW. They do not touch white balance. and I remember him saying to me he does not shoot RAW cause it's too much of a pain in the @$$. I watched how they do the jobs and learned. and they showed me what's done and how to do these jobs. I think I'd know they leave white balance on auto...

http://www.fineartfotos.com/photos/r...85/index5.html here's me again at the bottom, and the boss the pic before me (i was 18 in that picture and same for the other pic)

can't be bothered? sorry, didn't think your time shooting was so precious. only takes around 5 seconds to choose your WB and you can just set your camera on RAW or RAW+JPEG so it's not like something you have to do every single time you want to take an exposure. that's like saying you don't want to bother reading road signs while driving because you're already have to fiddle w/ the gas/brake pedal and steering wheel. i was like you, only shooting jpeg's not so long ago but knew i had to eventually step up my skill so now i only shoot RAW. best thing since slice bread. you make it seem like shooting RAW and selecting your WB is something so difficult to do. it's just a simple button you press it's not like you have to take your camera apart to set it.

you're basing this off the business practice of ONE studio?

there are great benefits if you got to a legit studio. i just opened my own studio in feb. and i'll admit i'm not raking in a lot of money but it was expected as new business usually do suffer a little bit when they first start out. i still make enough to cover printing costs and rent so it's not doing so bad so far. *knocks on wood* i'm only doing this part time as well since i still have my full time job.

when i shoot candid i usually leave it on auto WB but change in PS when i do my PP.

I know. But I don't take time and "set up" shots. I just basically point and shoot (don't say just use a point and shoot cam then. I use TV AV or M it varies. sometimes auto if I'm lazy.) I don't have any paitence and I'm a very "rush everything" person Btw I don't look at road signs also If I do manually set the white balance to whatever condition it is (say its cloudy) I set it to cloudy and it never looks all that great to me... so I shot RAW once with manual wb and I found that a different WB setting looked a whole lot better so I usually don't mess with it...

that's pretty awesome! I know we don't get along but still good for you! and I hope you do well with your business! I wanted to start something on the side with photography at 1 point, or even get a permit to sell some of my photos on the sts of manhattan....but with constant people on other forums I went to constantly abusing me saying my pics suck, they're blurry, etc kinda ruined my esteem and my confidence and my joy and pride in photography....now I just... lost all interest in it cause my confidence is destroyed. I'm offically convinced my pics suck no matter how hard I try to make them good. so I just kinda gave up. I mean I take pics now and then but... meh.....
