My friend just installed some 8000k in his truck and they are definitely not "rice" blue, they look clean not too blue. The pics from websites showing 8000k have a much bluer color so I dunno what happened but I'm going with 8000k when I get mine. Hopefully they will be like his and not like the pictures.

Is it possible he got a 50w ballast? It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer as well. What may appear as 8k from one company may be the equivalent to 6k from another and vice versa.

F if I know, I just know I'm gonna go with the same kind and get the 8k, since it is the color I want.
I kind of used him as my guinea pig to decide since if I didn't like his 8k I was gonna go with 6k
