italianjoe1 vs srt8 300c dig and roll

We think he was spraying as a local stg 2 balt ran his brothers srt8 charger and was even with it. Italianjoe1 basically has 50 more whp and I would bet is a better driver.

italianjoe1 cobalt ss/sc vs srt8 dig and roll

Yeah, tires were spinning in first and second. Soft tires don't work when cold... I forgot.

I am in fact on Stage 1, I never had a GM pulley on the car. I already had a 3" on the car when it was stock tune, so I just got Stage 1. Then I went to the smaller pulley.

Oh, and thanks for posting them up.

Yeah, I sprayed on both, but the first run the tires spun in second, so I had to wait pretty much till 3rd to spray it.

What do you want to know about the setup? Its a holley NOS wet shot, nothing fancy. Just triggered with a handheld switch.

ya know, after listening to that, I can hear when his nitrous kicks in. Listen to it halfway through first gear, you can clearly hear the exhaust get louder. Those ***** don't have v-tec, it has to be something causing that. I know thats how my dads truck sounds when the window switch engages.

wait so your using a "fast and furious" switch, not a WOT switch? and are you using a bottle warmer and bottle opener?

Nothing wrong with a push-button switch. Yes I do have a bottle warmer, I don't need a remote opener, the bottle is in the back seat.

No custom tune. Just a smaller pulley on the GM stage 1 tune.

Nice, R&T always gets better times, they drive much better.

Here's the mustang I ran after.

He pulled a new GT that had exhaust on it.

What your hearing about "halfway" through is actually just the cams coming on, it happens abut 4K on the tach. Cars pretty fast below that, but once they hit stride, hang on I see the vid says "later found out he had more mods". What were they, or are you basing that on jst sound?

You should know very well you cant judge one car by anothers performance. So your buddies performance against the Charger has no real meaning, The Charger driver could have been an idiot with no driving skills at all. Or some other reason. NO telling of course, but having run my SRT-4 to a 14.1 @ 99 against an identical car side by side at MIR, which car turned in a 14.8 that same run, never assume car A, driven by B, equals car C, driven by D.

I know, just wondering out loud. I found out later from another guy I know that he also had the plenum spacer and tune, when the driver told me just an intake. That is all I know of, there may be more but I'm not worried. His car just moves so much harder than any SRT8 I've seen before, its hard to believe that its stock. I pull cars that trap 110+ easy, I didn't think that a 300C would run that hard stock.

I was also told about the sound, that it was the torque converter locking up, which would explain it. Either way, the car was damn quick, the driver was cool, it was fun. He was suprised as hell that I stayed with him, he thought he was gonna clean me out.

About the driving skills part, they are automatic, right? From a roll (which is what I was basing the comparison off of, street dyno sorta), what could you really mess up?

For one thing, pedal application. The car actually delivers throttle and downshifts in accordance with how fast you press the throttle, not just how far you press it.So, in a roll scenario, if you dont just hammer that pedal, the car might not downshift as far as you think. At 60 mph, if I nail it hard, she'll drop to second, if I just press it down with less than full speed, she'll only go to third.

For another some people think they are better at shifting than the AMG derived autostick programming, I wish them luck with that Some people dont know that the ESP system actually has three modes, one of which is full disable. One of the tratcion controls abilities is the ability to pull throttle and upshift.

In summation, while nailing it in this car takes less skill than a manual, there are things to screw up DOnt get me wrong, this guy mighta had more, I cant tell from here I'm just giving your more info to work with
