Japeatr's latest projects installed(pics FIXED)
[well for starters i got a hookup from a friend for his cobalt addiction shorter header that didnt fit his 2.2

it had seen better days and was in need of some TLC so started project #1 that turned into many others

i began grinding all the rough spots and excess weld spatter in the tubes, i also resurfaced both flanges

after a bit of grinding and polishing i got it smooth and opened up quite a bit considering the 2.25" collector
on top of that DEI Header wrap finished the deal and makes it look awesome

I then began grinding on dallasCobalt's (matt) extrude honed manifold much to the same effect although could have done more

while i was polishing and drinking beer, matt humped my dog

onto to project 2 or 3 goin simultaneously
i orderd GMPP rotors and CPP steelbraided brake lines
in order to prevent future rust and keep the look i painted the rotors rim and hub with high temp caliper paint, this was then cured by baking

after cleaning up the excess coating i then waited for a slow day at my shop to install these bad boys

the texture like image on the wheel is the reflection of the ground...yes they are super shiny paint codes are black chrome

my camera gets reds and orange mixed up...they are really vic red matched
they stop great...now just waiting on my CPP steel braided lines
few more projects in the works enjoy

thanks man...glad you got another one and i thought it was cool that your dad came and helped support you
also we like the meets to be family oriented so it was cool that ppl brought wives, kids, GFs, parents, friends...that makes it better than just a bunch of kids and a few old guys w/ cars

the rotors look amazing but i noticed the paint you used and i dont trust that stuff at all, used that on my calipers and it started chipping away at about 40xxx miles. but they look awesome.. . . . also noticed your using "ass cleaner" ha man im high
i woulda used painters tape on the rotors. and your header, the machineing on the flange is supposed to be more course than that... helps create a crush on the gasket... but it looks pretty good man
Header wrap is the single WORST thing you could have done. It holds in heat thats true but it also holds dirt, and moisture, and using that dirt and moisture and how its wraped it acts like sand paper and causes rust. Header wrap has killed more headers then any other product on the market.
I'd recomend ditching it but thats just me.
The rest of your pics look awesome! Great job man!

also the wrap is vary tight and no dirt is able to get thru the weave
the hole thing was also sprayed with DEis silicon spray to protect an seal the wrap from the elements and moisture
the wrap doesnt move on the piping so will not act as an abrasive
i have believed those things in the past but after using these products on a few projects, i have been impressed with the performance
also the header looked like **** when i got it, no (no paint, small metal dings, weld spatter) now it looks and performs top notch
thanks for the props on the wheels and brakes, means something from a 2.4 "general"
