Ok guys there was a local dynoday today and i decided to go and see what the car had now that i recently installed the new motor in it.

My mods:

CAI
Dual pass
H/X

everything else is completely stock!

The first run it dynoed 239whp
The second one heatsoak a bit and did 236whp
And the last one it did 243 when we let it cool off for a couple of minutes.









Gm defenately underated us lsj's lol.

Also ran a 300c 5.7 with Intake exhaust and pulled him about 2 1/2 cars. Until he had to turn on the bottle and yea he beat me pretty bad after that lol.

 

243 with stock pulley?!

 

stock pulley i did FORGOT to mentioned the m62 is ported tho i boost at 14 psi, defenately makes a difference.

 

howmuch boost are you running

 

when you port your m62, your boost goes down, not up.

 

i'll be happy if my GMS3 makes 243whp lol

stock dp? maybe clogged cat?
how does the exhaust tone sound? how does the exhaust smell?

no not at all, those hp numbers are bs.. im just tryin to figure out why he made 14psi with a ported m62 on stock pulley..

its an lsj motor out of another car.

 

i took my 'balt on the autobahn last weekend and at the top end of 4th gear it looked like it hit 15 psi, if not then really close to it (on the stock pulley) Most of my mods aren't installed yet.. :-/ sitting in the pantry waiting (exhaust and intake are enroute with my household goods)

 

i can take u pics or a vid right now to show u the STOCK pulley on it.

the blower does sound pretty loud but so did mine when I did the air box mod. I think the quality of that vid is makin it sound a little louder. 243 is pretty high for a stock pulley. even with the cooling mods you have. if that kid only made 216 on a 2.8 and 60's hes got a problem most likely a bad ic pump
