Well, that is risky then.

Past 7250 rpm you run the risk of floating the valves running the stock springs.

Reving even further w/o neutral balance shafts is asking for trouble. Although some on here have reved that high w/o issue. I wouldnt try it unless the items I mentioned were upgraded.

Sorry, didn't realize I was talking with a bunch of experts. All the **** you guys are saying is just "claimed" bullshit on the internet.

I don't know of anyone that has revved to 7500rpms on a stock valvetrain and had problems, that includes myself and countless others.

My engine is no where close to stock now.

You need to calm down man.

I'm just stating what GM claims for a safe/reliable high reving setup. I never said you dont know what you are doing, or flamed you for reving to 7500 rpm on the stock valvetrain. I said it was risky. Thats all, and it is. I know you are far from stock now.

Hell, I've been reving to 7250 rpm for years now on the stock valvetrain, and I'm fine. Do I think it is the safest thing to be doing? No, but I'll deal with it if something breaks.

Incorrect. I've seen what valvefloat does at 7500 RPMS on a LSJ with stock valvetrain. It's a ticking time bomb if the motor sees revs that high.

Edit: Lets just say most of the valvetrain components were replaced... shattered lash adjusters & gouged up camshaft lobes were the most significant damage.

Please read all of my other posts. I understand the stock valvetrain needs to be upgraded to rev high.

I should have made myself more clear when I said the stock engine is strong enough. I ment the block and such.

So did mine, until it decided it didn't like it anymore, lol... It actually lasted awhile.. but it's still a ticking time bomb.

Disclaimer - it was back when the SS was my Xs... I never would have done that to her.

I saw those after I posted, I just wanted to make sure that it was clear since I have experienced this first hand, in case anyone else mis-read your post. The stock valvetrain is not safe at that RPM.

I know that. I did not mean the stock valvetrain. That's why I proceeded to explain what is needed to rev high safely. Thanks for clarifying though.

it really doesnt matter to me bro but if the dyno was really off and tom been on 26psi then it should had been much higher in order to be off. because everyones claiming that my numbers are wrong for been too hight so now ur claiming that its wrong for been low?? lol all cars are different too man...and am sure ricecops car is not entirely tuned to the same extend. spacially if he makes more power then tom with less boost. obiously a better tune somehow...
