I agree to a certain degree. But you see where I'm going right?
yeah but on this site nothing is unanimous 10 people say go left and 10 people going to come in and go right, even if your not that smart just hit the search button and look at everyone who ported there blower say they saw a loss in boost gheez!

My statement wasn't directed to the OP's car.. it was a general statement that if you make the blower flow more by porting it, the boost will go up..

I was trying to make as simple of a statement as i could, so as to avoid arguments with the theory, such as yours...

Basically, everyone on this site believes that if you port things, boost goes down, no matter what.. and that's simply not true.. it depends what side of the restriction you open up..

But i've had this same discussion on here at least 10 times now.. no one ever changes their mind...

I asked this question to slowswap the other day and he gave roughly the same answer, good stuff.

Why did you need to replace the first time?

That would be a little bit of a PITA but an interesting test.

What do other locals (stock) make boost/power wise?

The blower being ported is why the boost is up.nothing to worry about.

either you have a slightly smaller pulley, or you have a very healthy blower.

what restriction are you freeing up on the intake side though? The laminovas are still there and untouched, so is the head.

Why not?

With neutral balance shafts and upgraded valve springs the LSJ will be perfectly fine reving to 7500 rpm.

The stock engine is plenty strong enough to handle that, or do you mean he didnt upgrade the items I mentioned and reving that high?
