Never met this guy, but he posted up some pics of his car on our local forum. Gotta give him big props for actually sticking with the probe and not giving up on it. Those things are prone to some serious problems and I've honestly never seen a fast one.

mazda that is. but yea the probe came with mazda motors. my friend had a probe like this. he had a poor paint job on it tho, kid riced it out. it was that lambo candy pearl orange or what ever. shop did a horrid job on it tho.

 

Ford owns a large share in Mazda. The Probe and the MX-6 shared the same drivetrain.

A turbo PGT! Sweet. Now it has 190hp at the crank.

bad ass! I've always wanted have one of those.

 

They came with 162 at the crank for the 2.5l V6. All second gen PGT's had the 2.5. I know what i was saying and i reiderate - with the turbo, it now might have 190 at the crank. Those are one of the worst engines to try to extract power from.

 

It's making more than a 190crank hp. Trust me.

 

wow i hate how just because its a ford people have to bash them when they know nothing about the car........ iv had 3 probes, i right now have a cobalt. i love em both. but any ways yes its says mazda but that was allready explained.... as for the hp the PGT came with a 2.5 v6 (kl03) that has 16x hp... there is a j-spec motor that is a direct swap wich is the klze wich has 200 hp... most guys that do a turbo setup on these cars allready spent the grand for the ZE motor so there allready starting out with 200.. the cars a bad ass car and the 190 at the crank comment was just stupid...

Guy I know also had worked heads and **** on one, with a big ass shot of nitrous. Car was nasty, he used to win money from people all the time. Car was probably 300whp on bottle, nobody expected it at all
