Ottawa is never hot so radiant climate control works fine

The floor is heated in the winter with coolant from the hot water tank, In the summer I pump cold water through it from the tap. If I need the garage floor colder, I just have to water the grass..

So I was talking with Terry at KVR, we worked out a sponsorship arrangement for brakes for my car.

Should have something new for the car in one month..

Side Motor Mount...

AWESOME. Solid, Well built.

For those that didn't know, on the way to MOM 2009, my tripoint Cam Gear decided to shatter for no reason other than a complete lack of engeneering.

it was made from White Metal and I am suprised it did not shatter sooner uppon a closer look at how it was made.

Some of you might remember Focus (John) from MOM2009.

The gear you see here was the result of his group buy. Totally not the same gear. It's solid. PS. Props to Etienne for un***king my day by having a set for sale.

Also Thanks to Crazy Caker for shipping (Next Day) a side mount to replace the one that was torn.

AWESOME..

any plans for new wheels?

since you're doing the brakes, something low offset with spacers would go nicely IMO

The Rims already push beyond the chassis a bit.

They are already offset to the max. The brakes will clear the rims and leave a dime standing on end for clearance. Tons of clearance. If I swap to a different rim, the clearance from the inside of the spokes to the caliper will be greatly reduced. The Brake kit was made with this rim in mind. If I change now, it's going to not fit as well.

Easy access, plus it's a good spot for car shows as the panel comes off in seconds.

Epic build. One of those ones that you know you will always remember.
I have to ask, though:
What do you do for work?

Coiled Cable is the horn, exactly like the Porsche Le Mans car.

This is a Haltech RA-10

It is a Variable Reluctor Processor.

It will take the VR sensor outputs which are very weak and susceptible to interference, and change them to a Hall Effect style signal.

At very high RPM I have been getting a misfire. I believe it's the RV signal cutting out due to the interference with the coils.

I have done everything to get rid of this problem, but could not.

Eric @ Haltech was super cool and proactive in helping. He is sending this unit as we speak.

The idea is that the VR signal is weak, the longer the wire is, the more likely it will be interrupted. So, this box goes in the engine bay, as close as possible to the sensors (Mine will be behind the battery on the right side).

The wires to the sensor will be 6 inches, then the RA-10 gets hooked to the ECU Crank and Cam wires, as Hall Effect, so very very stable.

Peace OUT!

Very interesting that the coils can interfere with the signal being sent from the box.

I figured things were so well shielded such a thing would not happen.

The wires are 4 Feet long and have to pass over the motor.

The new wires will be 6" and directly to the side away..

It will fix the problem, or that wasn't the problem

^^ A Lot...

It's funny, because it's not a "Show Car",

But at "Car Shows" it still usually wins, even though it has ZERO ICE, BAGS, LIGHTS... All the regular CRAP that goes into a Piece of Art Car that is put on a trailer to events.
