So my wiring harness is complete and my headlights are almost there. I need to go out and buy some of the Butyl Sealer tape from like NAPA or something. After that i can seal them up. What i really need to do is put them on the car at night and see if everything is aimed correctly still. I really don't have the time for this project anymore so i don't think im gonna worry too much about what the final look is. I was gonna make bezels for it but its super time consuming and monotinous. here are some quick pics.

Wiring Harness

This is probably what they will end up looking like

There was no way i was gonna be able to use just the stock rubber back peice because of how the Bosch's bi-xenon solenoid is placed i had to cut out extra from the reflector. so here is what i did

are the pics showing up for anyone??

Looks good!

You definitely want to cover the projector's reflector bowl. the light will leak around the edges and ruin your cutoff.

Nice work!

When you make the bezels, are you going to make it conform to the projector? or are you going to block off the reflector like I did?

I was thinking of doing a revision on mine where I cover the projector itself and have it look like this

Well at first i was just gonna take those frosting containers and cut a hole in the bottom big enough for the lens to get through. then i couldn't really think of a clean way to keep it on the projector. So i then decided to go the route you did and block off the reflector. that would in turn help to hold the container in place. so i went on the search for something thin and flexible. i found little cutting board matts at the dollar store. Those things were worthless to protect from a knife cutting into any surface. So i cut them out in the general shape or the housing. Kept shaping it and making it right. but i had a hell of a time making the exact right size for the housing and projector. Thats were im stuck now. I've given up on that notion. So now i need to come up with another way to make bezels conform to the projector and still look nice. Idk still thinking. Maybe i'll throw some pics up on HIDplanet and see what they think.

The Bezels I used to go over the front of the projectors themselves were shrouds from flood lamps on 3 inch lights from Lowes

I unscrewed them and found that the shrouds fit over my projector with little modification. They were painted silver.

So I removed the paint and buffed the raw metal to make it chrome

hmm interesting. didn't think of that. Today a guy i work with suggested caplugs or pvc pipe end caps. I was thinking about finding a tapered caplug that would fit the entire projector assembly from the lens and over the bolt holes. I think i may try to get one still and use your idea of the shrouds. Thanks. Maybe i'll venture back to a craft store or the dollar store to try and find something cheap to rip apart.

Just went to Napa today and picked up the butyl rubber tape, 15 bucks for 15'. Im kinda pissed right now though. I acidently broke the corner off the passenger lights lens. gonna look like shiot.

well the flood light bezels was a wasted of time for me. My bosch projectors are as wide as the outside diameter of the bezels. so thats a no go. I think im gonna buy a set of bezels off ebay and clean them up and cover the whole projector assembly with aluminum sheet rolled up and cut to allow the shield to function. Probably rivet it to keep it all together. should be interesting and look like shiot. o well as long as i have HID's. Maybe i'll figure out how to fix it come other time.

So i finally made my bezel/projector enclosure. Took some bezels out of the lights for my fan in my room and used some aluminum flashing. On to the pics.

i think your going to want something along the lines of these. H7 to D2s adapters. they are 18 bucks on HIDplanet. they can also be found on ebay. just search d2s and the lowest value a whole bunch should pop right up.

its soooooooooo time consuming though. mine took me over a month to complete. I was only able to work on them for an hour or 2, 5 days a week. I really don't care for mine. I wish i would have spent a little more money to get some nice bezels instead of cheapin out. Overall mine cost me around 350 for everything. I was shooting for 300 budget limit but couldn't pull it off. I think i need different bulbs though. I bought used Osram Xenercs, but i think im gonna purchase some brand new Phillips bulbs in a couple weeks.

If i did this again i think i would make an adapter plate to allow the projector to have alot more movement to align it properly.

hey Merc does your cruise control still work?? I think my harness shorted out my cruise control. im gonna have to check and see if a fuse blew. Maybe unhook the power to the lights and see if the cruise works again. idk.

One thing is for sure, i need to open the headlights up again. My drivers side cutoff is slanted like yours was and i cant adjust them up high enough. The bolts securing the projectors are hitting the housing. I took them apart one last time before sealing them up and didn't test them again. So that was a big mistake there.

One of these nites i'll bring my camera to work and take pics when i get out at nite. I will say right now that they are ******* HORRIBLE. Good god they are bad. They have no distance what so ever because i can't adjust up any farther. They driver side points somewhat to the right. So in the distance the steps of the shields almost line up. I seriously jacked it up really bad and i don't know how. The initial alignment before i made the shield all around the projector was really good. So i'll take pics of the crappyness and then after i fix it i'll take pics again. Should be intresting to see the difference.
