Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love GTI's, the new R32's are sweet ****, except the 30k price tag. But yeah why did n't you get the leather interior I don't really like the plaid that much the leather is so comfy/ sexy. BTW do you like that DSG more than a manual?

I really like the plaid, and i've gotten a lot of compliments on it. It's different and i like that. The DSG is awesome. I like that i can control the gear changes when i want, or if i wanna be lazy, i can do that too.

Of course you have your purists who won't stray from the manual transmission.

 

I'm a former SS S/C owner turned GTI owner. It's a pretty good place here.

so the Pontiac, Saturn, and Chevy all have the same platform when it comes to the Cobalt/Ion or whatever?

Do all come with supercharged models (or now turbo-charged)?

 

Pontiac G5 = Saturn Ion = Chevy Cobalt

All brands come with the 2.2L & 2.4L N/A models...

The Saturn USED to come with the 2.0L S/C model... but now, the Cobalt has the only F/I model.

I think i've seen your videos on youtube or streetfire of you racing the ss/sc with a mazdaspeed 3 also. Cobalt won every time though (besides the mazda 3).

 

again, i don't wanna get into arguments as to the speed of the cars, cause i'm not here to compare my car to the cobalts, i came here to learn about my friends car in case i wanna help him out or give him ideas, but the cobalt came in last all of the times. i was always in second to the MS3.

Now my friend has learned to shift a lot better and we're pretty much even all the way through. The SS/SC are definitely underrated and even with my DSG transmission, it's a good race.

I consider myself not just a VW or GTI fanboy but an overall car enthusiast. I can appreciate all makes, models, and styles of cars; be them FWD, RWD, AWD, Supercharged, Turbocharged, N/A, Coupes, hatchbacks, 4 doors, Japanese, American, European, trucks or cars.
