how did it go?

well, this is how it went: we honked, accelerator was pressed, we went at it. he won.

i was at his front wheel, we didn't get to get into the next gear cause we ran out of room.

him: base tune (not yet fine tuned)
me: completely stock with DSG transmission

but anyway...

that was when he was still learning to shift, and before his tune.

before his tune we'd be almost dead even.

thanks as well. my camera was like 700 new, now probably cheaper. Canon XTi.

Now you can get the XSi for the same price.

i never raced a modded gti, i raced a stock one and pulled a few cars from the bottom of 3rd to the top of 4th, 2 maybe 3 max, then again cobalts come out of the factory with different whp ratings i never dynoed mine.

i was in my friend's GLI last week, gorgeous car, he slid into an explorer with a hitch and a spare tire waiting at a light, he didnt hit the guy so fast, 3 miles per hour, but the hitch went straight through the bumper, and the spare tire dented the hood, 4500$ damage for a fender, bender, vw's are expensive!

oh wow, i thought the new GTI's had around the same as a sc cobalt. i was thinking they were making 200ish to the wheels. either way, nice car man. those headlights are killer looking. as are your wheels. are they 18"?

no, they make 200 at the crank.

11 hp lost at the wheels isn't bad IMO.

Yes, they are 18's.

11 horsepower loss at the crank is excellent, usually its 10-15% from the crank, you only lost 5.5

if he's 209 with the tune, then his cobalt come out of the factory a little weaker than other cobalts, usually cobalts are 205-210
