i used factory clips along the 4 or 5 bottom tabs where the holes are pre drilled on our cars and on the front and back, and double sided tape on all of the tabs where the upper clips would be. they have been on through 2 winters and still hold tight to the rocker

 

when you go to actually installing it, itll be straight forward. its all about lining it up with the holes underneath your car and common knowledge.
dont be afraid of it, use the drilling and clip method.
it took no more than 30 minutes for me to do mine.

 

drilling is just going to rust out the rockers in no time. even if you paint it, the clips going in will most likely chip it, and they will rust like crazy. nothing is like a factory paint coating. dont **** it up

 

I'll be using the bottom clips and 3m on the sides for mine.There's no way in hell im drilling holes in my car lol

I would drill... I have mine drilled and that's going to hold a hell of a lot better than some tape is... especially once you get going over 150 MPH.

Molding tape will hold just fine and sorry to say,most,if not all of our car,especially in this very thread,will never see 150 on a track unless ZZP post in here,then we have a different story.Molding tape is alot stronger than your normal 3m double sided tape.I'll be dam'd if I drill holes in my rockers.Water WILL get in there and will rust out quicker than you think and you wont even know it because you have no access to seeing the actual rocker without pulling the molding off,which breaks all your clips.Molding tape for me./argument lol
I actually talked to a guy not too long ago that used the bottom clips only with nothing on the sides and it was just as sturdy.**** drilling.**** it!!! lol
