Lol! you try painting it then, plastic reacts to paint differently and changes the color off it, especially in silver and light colors. Not saying it cant be done but usually the oem color dosnt match. If you wanna talk about paint not matching go look at the new camaros..not one panel on the car is the same color, I point it out to people all the time even a owner of one. He wasnt to happy.

That and painting conditions have alot to do with it.Alot of the panels are painted in different states.Temp. and humidity play a big part in it too.My fender and bumper were panel painted but luckily the shop just had 2 2007 cobalts in that were ultra silver metallic so they had the color pretty spot on.But your right,plastic to metal always looks off.

i grabbed my paint from auto zone gm matched paint worked perfect. nice buff and it was good

i understand where your coming from.. n i know theres more pride in it.. but i guess it all depends what your goals are for what you wanna spend.. i want around the 300whp range.. n to get there in my 2.2 isnt very feasible when i could trade in for the tc and be fairly close for much cheaper (not to mention much better looking car).. for now ill eat up the mpg
