depends on the tuning of the box. you can have a ported box tuned really low and still have it be punchy and tight. most prefab boxes are tuned 38hz + which sucks imo. my box is tuned to 32hz

it also depends a lot on the speaker.

 

How is it illegal? the dealer will install it... they have safety features where you have to have it in neutral and hold your foot on the brake and then pull the e brake and the car will stay running till you get out and close the door. and if you open the door it won't start with the remote unless you go through the shut down procedure again...

Yeah 5spd. It's a very reputable shop. There were directions in the manual specifically on how to use it with a manual trans car.

More than likely (if it exists at all) its a NHTSA regulation that is at the state's discretion as far as enforcement goes.

Btw. Limo tint is illegal in the state of virginia but I can go to a tint shop and get it. Autozone sells illegal tint. Just because it's illegal doesn't mean you can't have it put on. It means that you can't drive your car (In my case VA public roads) with it installed.
