The 4.3L you are talking about is outdated, crude engine. Durable, yes. Refined and powerful? No.
The 4.2L I6 makes 275lbs of torque and and 275hp. Easily kills the 4.3L V6
I ike the Saab. They did a fair amount oif changes. Suposed to handle very good. I'd take that 4.2L (Wards 10 best engines for 3 years in a row) over the 5300 anyday (doesn't fit with Saabs image)
For 2006 the 4200 is upgraded to 291hp and 277lbs-ft! And here Ford trods along with a crappy 4.0 SOHC 12 valve--that makes a whopping 210hp!

Out of all the GM mid-sized SUV's (Trailblazer, Envoy, Rainer) I think that the Sabb version looks the best. The front end is awesome - its got the traditional Saab grille, but its designed so that it fits the truck perfectly, and the headlights look great.
I'm sure the interior will be nice as well, probably on par with the Buick Ranier.
As for the photoshop, nice job That looks damn nice, I never would have thought that an SUV like that would look so good being lowered.
Perhaps they should make a performance version of the 9-7x, similar to what you have chopped - make it 2WD, give it a performance suspension, and Supercharge the 4.2 or drop in a V8. That would be sweet

I am indeed refering to the Vortec 4200 Inline 6. I wish that chevy would destroke that motor and make a sport sedan like the epsilon platofrm with RWD.
Maybe that would be the new buick, instaed of the tired old stylings that they choose now.
