I am making this the official thread for the June half mile event in Chicago that the ZZP crew along with Scythe Snake and myself will be attending. I will update and upload pics and videos to this thread. I encourage others to also post pics and video if they are there. I know ZZP is prepping there cars, also Ryan D. and I got a lot of work done today. Here are a couple pics from me today prepping the car. I put on a new ZZP exhaust, notice there is no resonator, I have both sections. The resonator is out for weight savings and will go back in after Chicago. Put in my race battery, the combo saves me around 50 lbs. Finally got my redline goods shift boot which looks amazing.

 

I will have three go pros and two cameras. So there should be lots of pics and videos.

I'm going to play at my local 1/2 mile event down in Colorado Springs put on by Shift S3ctor in less than 2 weeks! Won't do as good as you big turbo guys, but it'll be a 6000ft altitude, so there are gonna be a lot of sad naturally aspirated drivers who get to see Cobalt taillights. Good luck to you all!

Cmiller - how are those camaro brakes working for ya ??? any better than the stock brembos ?

 

Going to be honest, I don't remember the stock brembos haha. But yes they work well. Just need to upgrade the rears to drilled and slotted as well.

Its going to be an awesome event! 4 cars (Myself, Cmiller, Ryan@zzp, and Matt M with their new ATS).....thats over 2000hp in 4 cars! Its going to be friggen nuts! Personally I think I'm going to be one of the slower ones! lol Either way we are all looking to go and have a good time and finally get a chance to meet and chill.

Speaking of which, I owe someone a beer after we hurt some feelings!

No pics yet, but the Snobalt is at ZZP getting a little more love here and there to prep herself up for the half mile! We'll see how she does!



Its a grand event! I got a photo shoot or two setup for all the cars, and hell you'll have me and cmiller in the same place at the same time! over 1200whp right there!

I'm going to be honest, I support tom 100%, before many of you even had cobalts to begin with But everyone is going to be at the half mile....just saying. You'd rather sit at Rockenbach than to see the fastest cobalts in the communtiy square up against some big boys and represent for us?

Obviously ZZP Ryan will probably out trap us all. I am wanting to go over 160 mph. I don't think at 30 - 32 lbs it will be to hard.
