the dealer had a blue one but sold it the day b4 i got there. only one on the island right now is a red one. i wanna see a black one personally.

 

hey inhale, i see the dealer added an extra "add-on" price sticker... do u remember what they added to it? real extra's (like undercoating/teflon wax/pinstripe...), or ADM only (additional dealer markup)?

matt, i didnt see anything that they added. the sticker only said "dealer markup price". i believe it was 2k more bringing the total to 25k.

Just curious, but you think undercoating and teflon wax is a "real" add-on? Undercoating was the farse of the 70's and 80's, just like any sort of wax or "shell coating" is today.

A pinstripe cost less than 20 bucks. We charge $35 for ours, and I can normally throw one on for free, not two grand.

undercoating is just like a rubber spray kinda like a spray on beadliner. prevents rust a bit. the teflon coat is a joke. i worked at a chevy dealer and its like any other wax. i got better results from meguires. i have been through many detail shops in my day and all the once a year or special protective coats are just someother wax that makes u think u got somethign better.

 

So everyone's red SS is not as important as all the other SS's?

i could understand if they are pictures of SS's in a dealership and not someones car..but if i was(is) and owner of a red ss id be a little upset at this comment... it makes me not want to post my SS

i am just getting upset cause my SS is not in my garage right now, sorry again, if it came down to it to get a SS today, i would get red if thats all they had, sorry again, more than glad to see 100 more pics off anybodys SS(mostly night shot of guages and radio, etc.) hint hint

 

I was in the same boat

i went in to get a blue SS with a sunroof, but if i wanted it in the ones that the dealership was getting in, i had the option of red or black.. i chose black, but then they called me back and told me that i had to get red.. i settled for red.. it was one of the three colors i wanted. If i didnt get one of the allotted dealer ones, i probably wouldnt have gotten one in may, more like july-septish maybe not til next year

I really want my new car now.. those damn commercials are taunting me!!!
