Unfortunately I just missed it. I called my guy the day I saw the original thread and the 05 style was already ordered. I tried to get him to send it back but he's been through enough with the car already and GM's ******* shipping department. He must have received about 6 wrong parts, rediculous. So i'm just going to have to grab these new upper and lower grills in the summer.

That sucks. For 150 I don't think you can go wrong. I could try to sell the upper part but who is gonna want it. Everyone has it... unless someone got wrecked I don't think its going anywhere. If you get them for yours post up some pics, they would look awesome on your car.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. I don't think anyone so far has said they didn't like them. I think everyone can agree they look 100% better than the 05-07 grill. Some after market grills don't look too bad, but I like these a lot. I am 100% happy with them.

 

Where did you get those fillers for the 3 front bumper holes?

 

Grills look good! I'm still preferential to billet though...

 

Eh. On certain colors I guess it looks good. Blue, red, black. I don't think a billet grill would look very good on a silver car. I never really was a fan of the billet grills to be honest.

My car came with them. Honestly not sure where you can get um. I don't know if the dealer can get them in color matched or if the guy that had it previous to me painted them. Sorry I can't help ya out more. I don't like that at all but it is better than holes I guess.

Has there ever been a silver ss/sc as car of the month? Are my pics good enough.

Thank ya thank ya. I might submit for COTM one of these months for *****. Why not, got nothing to lose right? Might have to try to find some creative spots local to get some good shots and I might submit.

Thanks man. I know the dark colors (black, blue, etc) always shine better when they are spiffed up. I am glad though I didn't get a dark color again. Screw that, never again. Silver may not shine as much but it sure is easy to keep it lookin like that.

 

do you really need to buy the retaining clips? or does it snap into place like the 2.4 lower grill did

All these pictures are making me want the new grille set BAD! I'm still waiting on the $600 gov. check which I was supposed to receive last Friday.

 

According to crateenginedepot you do. It does hold it in there more secure. I would get them if I were you, they aren't that much to begin with.

yea the clips defintiely should be bought along with the t/c lower grill. so sad that the 2.4ss grill rubbed the **** out of the my paint . the T/C grill should not what so ever with the clips.
