I know how you stand, and i cant help but 2nd guess. It all depends how it comes out in the end really if it was worth it. but if you had the chance to color change for $410 would you?

If my brakes weren't already yellow, i'd go white in a heartbeat.
My rear axle lowers the car by about an inch. I just wanted to confirm for when i get my pedders. Thanks bud!

On stock TC springs...

I hear ya, i love white cobalts but i wanna do something a bit different. im really feeling that orange, keepin it a light color, and its not a color you see on alot of other cars on the road, and its not really tacky. Plus theres another white car in my driveway
your stance is definitly sick. lookin at my car stock height makes me go "eww"

I wouldnt do candy. If u ever needa touchup...ur fukt. Kandy cant be matched. I know from experience! Go with the mazda blazing coppee.....looks sick under the sum. Looks better than candy. I had candy tangerine before
I disagree. That color is dull n doesnt pop like the mazda orange or new ecclipse orange

a buddy of mine is painting his blazer this color, he did a spray out card of the orange and im gonna have to disagree. it looked amazing. We also played with adding small amount of pearls in the clear, and that looked crazy. My car would be shimmering in the shade. I dont know if i want it that much, but i do want some sort of depth to my paint unlike the plain yellow now.
And i understand the difficulty to match, but it can be done, ill have the paint codes and should have some left over materials. I dont believe itll be too big of a deal if any painter, me or not, attempts it how they should be attempting color matching and blending.
ill hopefully get some pics tommorow of the color im going for if the cards still laying around. If not we have a guy who did this same technique with red candy over silver last year and it looks great. ill get pics

kandy is just too much of a pain. to me, it aint worth it. You may think you can match it, but its not easy. i love my mazda blazing orange. its crazy in the sun. i like the stock sunburst orange, but its just too dull for me. the corvettes have a similar orange that has a little more pop to it...
pick a color some one hasnt done. both look nice.
Do an semi Gloss Olive/Army Green with black accents and rims

I think im gonna start sanding within the next 2 weeks. I should be going that orange. Want it to look similair to this, but more metallics in it

Here, this is candy orange over silver base.

Oh ****! some1 already did this to a 2005 cobalt that I found online.
This is 3 coats of orange candy over silver:

^unfortunatly im not a big fan of that car too much. paint is sick though. now if i did that and 2 toned it black
now my teacher wants me to put gold mica pearl in the clear to add even more metallic to it

He says "his teacher" in his last post. My guess is that he's in school for auto body repair/paint and is either doing it himself or is donating his car to be used as a teaching tool.
oh, then that sounds alright. i thought he was taking it to a shop and paying that much.
i had a yellow car with gold pearl in it. it looked amazing.

Im in school for autobody. the $400 is what the cost of the paint is from automotive refinish products after my discount. I dont have to pay money for the week or two weeks of prep and sanding and masking and filling any dents since i will be doing all that myself.
