looking to buy a good in car camera. I would probably only be using it for auto X, drag racing, some country road driving, and making homemaid ****.
I'd prefer to keep it in the not incredibly outrageouse price range. I only make about $23k a year.

it's not the camera, it's keeping it steady... i do what we call a "limo chase" at weddings, and i film the cars going from the church to the receptoin site... handheld though...

alleycat said that there is a clamp down headrest mount that is approx $50.
as far as a camera, i just use my digital still camera. does a nice video for in car. if not, you can get a digital camcorder for under $300 these days.
just didn't know if anyone had any experience with one that worked well for driving. the roads back home are a good 1/2 hour of cornering and I'd love to get some on video. but want the quality to be better than fuzzy.
yeah the headrest clamps work well and I can make one really cheap.

if you have an $800 max
$730: http://www.adorama.com/PCPVGS500.html
$450: http://www.adorama.com/CAO400.html
$270: http://www.adorama.com/JVGRD370US.html
its really dependent on how serious you wanna get, the advantage to most miniDV cams are you can hook them directly to your comp. DONT get DVDcams they suck!!! & dont pay any attention to digital zoom...
