hmm... looks like they pulled that section off a little bit.. an never put it back afterwards? An I'm guessin your car was (re)painted at sometime.. or atleast those sections..
Or.. Maybe, there was damage in that area, or they damaged it, an fixed it? Where did you get it done at??

I had it done at a reputable glass shop here that does very good work.
IDK what to think yet.

Did you go back to the shop that installed it ?
Or is this something that will happen to all when the windshield is replaced ?

The fender rubs against that, You notice it now because you've just had your windshield replaced and are inspecting it with a fine tooth brush. All cobalts have this problem.
(My car has this problem too, I've owned my car since brand new and all that has been done to it is SS rear and front bumpers.)

I hand wash my car and clean windshield often and have never seen this, if it was there before
I would have noticed it because I am very **** with my car, I take care of it.
I have looked at many cobalts and g5's this weekend and none have this on them.
IDK ??????

Half the problem is GM paints the car with the fenders installed, so there is already little paint and clear coat there, The primer is not sprayed it is in a pool and the car is dipped in. It is also much stronger than the base coat/clear coat.
Believe what you want. I work in the autobody trade. To me bringing it back to the glass shop and blaming them for GM's error is a dick move. Especially seeing as the paint is missing evenly on both sides.
So again, Believe what you want.. Do what you want. I'd personally just get some touch-up and just do it that way, As that will never rust anyways.

I never said I was taking it back to the glass shop, I am just trying to figure out what has happened here.
I did look at 6 more cars Monday and Tuesday and to my surprise 5 of them had the same primer spots.
All seemed to have the factory windshield in them.
So I still find it hard to believe that I have overlooked these sports on my car for who knows how long,
but I guess I did !
