I've come to the conclusion that the bearing in my intermediate shaft is bad... horrible roaring/ vibration above 15mph, replaced both wheel bearings and no change.... from what I've researched the shaft is no longer made and finding a new bearing for the 5spd shaft is apparently impossible... looking for help

 

I think mine is out. It’s a roaring sound that is speed dependent

 

Yeah mines roaring and vibrating speed dependant as well. I haven't had the time to pull the shaft and verify however I can't seem to find a replacement for it either.... idk if the s/c cars transmissions are different from the turbo versions but the bearings listed from GM for the turbo cars says not compatible.
