08 lnf keeps turning off while driving

So every other night while driving the car will shut off, i do need to get the recall done but parts are not available for me yet. Car still has power and if i wait a few mins or disconnect the battery it'll start right back up. When it happens the theft light stays on solid or flickers. Anyone else have this issue or does this just apply to the recall? Thanks!

P.s. When trying to restart the car right after it happens nothing happens.

Sounds like it to me. If you don't feel safe in your car they will give you a rental for I think up to 3 months

Well it happened again this morning, turned around to come home, and it happened in my driveway. I also heard a clicking noise from behind the dashboard the second time, turning the key did nothing, after disconnecting the battery again after a few mins it started up and i parked it. FML.

So i called chevy and they said this issue is a "secondary problem" they said they only cover a loaner if the key comes out with the car still running.

False.
Call another one or speak with someone else.
If your VIN is in the recall then you are covered.

Have they looked at it? How do they know? This is the first time I have heard any word of a dealer saying that the key has to come out while the car is running for it to be covered. These people make it up as they go. My recall card says mine needs a new switch, cylinder, and key lol.
